Working with referring physicians
Finding a care bed in three simple steps
There are times when we must act quickly. That is why we, at Tertianum, ensure that the administration around our admission process is smooth and fast. Follow the three steps below to find the care bed you need:
Check for available care beds
The availability overview will show you at once which Tertianum locations currently have available care beds. Do your patients have specific care or medical needs? You can also check this in the list so that you find the most suitable care bed.
Select the nursing care place
Click on the required care room to view the contact details of the relevant Tertianum facility. Feel free to call us to discuss the next steps in the allocation process. Together, we can then clarify the medical and care needs of your patient and determine the administrative process as well as the date of admission.
Allocation
Once the care bed has been reserved for your patient, you can submit all of the required documents. If you prefer to do this online, a number of Tertianum homes offer convenient allocation using the OPAN online patient registration page.

Palliative care
Accompanying and supporting people in their final phase of life requires much experience and empathy. Together with the individual and their family, we develop a care and treatment plan that addresses the key aspects of palliative care.
Tertianum’s approach to care is based on the rights of our guests to self-determination and autonomy, while ensuring their safety.
- We specifically address the needs of our guests in the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual realms, along with the dimensions of palliative care and a self-determined end of life.
- We ensure the continuous promotion of each guest’s existing abilities and support them in maintaining or improving their quality of life
Aligned with our philosophy of care, the desire for self-determination at the end of life is respected. Self-determination does not end with dying. For this reason, Tertianum also advocates for the option of assisted suicide through a professional end-of-life organization. This support for assisted suicide underscores our commitment to the self-determination and autonomy of our guests.
